Ganaaboute Gagne-Lima, Peru-Mar-14-20

Hey there!
My name is Ganaaboute Gagne; I am the Student Trustee for the Ottawa Carleton District School Board, the chair of Actua’s Youth Council, and a member of the Ottawa Youth Engagement Committee.
Over the past four years of high school, I’ve dedicated much of my life to trying to give others the same opportunities that I was given in life. Through volunteering, joining councils and committees, and planning events I have done my best to try to make life better for everyone, regardless of race, sexuality, gender, or anything else. Through these experiences, I have met incredible people, visited incredible places, and partaken in experiences I never thought I would.
And now, this journey has led to me MedLife. This spring break, I will hopefully be taking part in a trip to Lima, Peru in which myself and a team of other volunteers will be running mobile clinics WITH the people of the community to not only help them now, but to ensure sustainability.
